The micropigmentation technique for scar camouflage involves gently implanting pigment into the healed scar tissue to restore it to the normal color of the surrounding skin. matching the patients natural hair color or their preferred –makeup. Scars are best treated when the healed skin is white, usually when the injury is about a year old.  Additional clinic dates will be scheduled over the next six months as micropigmentation normally requires additional touch-ups after the initial treatment.

For chemotherapy patients, micropigmentation can ease the distress of chemotherapy by preserving the appearance of eyebrows and eyelashes without makeup. Chemotherapy patients can be treated either one month before chemo -drugs are administered, when their original facial hair is in place, so visible eyebrow and eyelash hair can be enhanced with micropigments. Alternatively, upon approval of their physician, micropigments can be applied in the midst of a course of chemotherapy during an off-week when no chemo drugs are administered. Advance approval of your physician is recommended for all attendees before enrolling in the clinic.

The Micropigmentation Clinic practitioners are specially trained and certified in the SofTap™ method. All procedures will be completed with disposable hand needles and specially formulated SofTap™ pigments containing only color, glycerin and distilled water. Practitioners may include Cindy Williamson, Laurie Ke, Donna Mercado, and. well-known micropigmentation expert Deborah Salazar. "D" is a licensed cosmetologist, educator and certified SofTap™ educator, will be supervising all procedures. Ms. Salazar has more than eight years of experience in micropigmentation and is a member in good standing  the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. This professional organization set medical and aesthetic standards for micropigmentation and other medically necessary scar-camouflage and permanent makeup procedures.
